Ⅰ. Plastic injection moulding dies used in automotive interiors

commonly used plastics for interior and exterior parts of automobiles mainly include PP, PU, ABS, PE, PA or POM, etc. There is no fundamental difference between injection molds for automotive interior parts and ordinary injection molds, but because the value of injection molds for automotive interior parts is generally high, many advanced injection mold manufacturing technologies (such as: sequence valve hot runner control technology, Internal parting surface technology, etc.) are the first to be applied in automotive injection molds.


Ⅱ. Plastic injection moulding dies are classified according to structure


1. Two-plate mold: a very basic type of two-plate mold injection mold, and it is also a widely used injection mold. It can be designed as a single cavity or multiple cavities according to requirements.


2. Three-plate mold: Compared with the two-plate mold, the three-plate mold adds an intermediate plate that can be moved locally in the fixed mold part of the injection mold. The three-plate mold has a complex structure, high manufacturing cost, and difficult parts processing. It is generally not used for the production of large or extra-large injection molding products.


3. The plastic injection moulding die of lateral parting and core pulling mechanism: When the plastic part has side holes or side recesses, it needs to be formed by a lateral moving core or slider.


4. Injection mold with movable insert: Due to some special structure of the product, the plastic injection moulding die will be required to have movable inserts, such as movable threaded cores or rings, which will be pushed out of the mold together with the injection molded product during demolding and then separated from the product.


5. The plastic injection moulding die for automatic thread removal: For products with threads, when automatic mold removal is required, a rotating threaded core or ring is generally provided on the injection mold, and the mold opening action or the rotating mechanism of the injection molding machine is used to drive the threaded core or threaded ring to rotate, thereby demolding.


6. Hot runner plastic injection moulding die: Hot runner mold is a mold that uses a heating device to make the melt in the runner never solidify. It has the advantages of short molding cycle and saving raw materials, but it is expensive.
